Police in Bundibugyo district is investigating circumstances surrounding the fire that gutted Ntandi SDA integrated primary school boy’s dormitory and destroyed properties worth millions of Shillings.
The Chairperson school board of governors Pr. Robert Kugonza, says that the evening fire happened when pupils were away for holidays.
mr. Kugonza says no pupil was at the school by the time of the incident, the dormitory was closed but they do not know what caused the fire.
Bundibugyo District Police Commander Aggrey Okum, says that police have commenced investigations to ascertain the actual cause of the fire and cautioned schools to step up security around their premises even when learners are away.
Hassan Kisembo, the Ntandi town council LC III vice chairperson appealed to the district authorities to mobilize for quick intervention before the school re-opens for the next term. ENDS
