Forensic experts from Rwenzori East Regional police have up two weeks to receive DNA results of the decomposing body parts of a suspected woman said to have been discovered along River Nyamwamba valley in Kasese Municipality.
According to reports, the tests were to determine whether the parts discovered in beats are from the same body and if they really match with the DNA of a woman believed the deceased’s mother.
The regional Police spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumushime confirmed the development saying the body samples to the government Laboratory in Kampala would ascertain the paternity of the late Biira Mapenzi who hailed from Bwera subcounty in Kasese district but left his work place in Katwe-Kabatooro to celebrate Xmas with her yet to be identified boyfriend in the areas of greater Kilembe.
