    Police hands abducted boy in Maliba to parents

    A 15-year-old boy who was reportedly abducted in Omwakathi trading center in Maliba sub-County Kasese district has been officially handed back to his Parents, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.

    The Rwenzori East Region Police spokesperson SP. Nelson Tumushiime confirmed the information and identified the minor as Jackson Mulhwahali Mumbere, a primary six pupil at Maliba child care primary school who was abducted late at night by two men on Tuesday.

    SP.Tumushiime said two suspects including, Habibu Bwambale Roshimu 18 and Bright Bwambale 21 are detained at Hima Police division to help police with investigations.

    Mr. Mumbere, in a telephone interview said he was abducted by the suspects who had come to pick a motorcycle of their friend late at night claiming to check on a patient at St.Pauls Health center four in Kasese Municipality.

    Mumbere said Police intercepted them at Kasese round about and detained the two suspects at Kasese central police station after being found in possession with a panga. Mr. Mumbere speaking… 

    Mr. Yovani Kijana, the Maliba Sub-County local council three vice chairperson, advised the local community to desist against excessive alcoholism, drug abuse and retire home early for security reasons.

    By Press time the Minor had been handed back to his parents as investigations continue for the two suspects. END.
