A counter-terrorism policeman, Alex Adei, is on the run after allegedly shooting his wife, Ms Barbra Apia, to death last night.
The incident occurred around 9 pm inside the Naguru Police barracks in Nakawa Division, Kampala District.
According to detectives at Jinja Road police station, Mr. Adei, who is a member of the Very Important Persons Protection Unit based at Nsambya, frequently quarreled with Ms Apia during their time together at Ntinda police barracks, forcing the deceased to run away and rent in Naguru Police barracks where the suspect followed and shot her in the chest.
