Police in Rwenzori East Region has called for vigilance against acts of terrorism to avoid a repeat of the 2010 terror attacks in Uganda.
In July 2010, more than 70 people, most of them football fans died at Kyadondo rugby club and Ethiopian restaurant in Kabalagala after suspected Somali Islamist Militants bombed the two areas in Kampala.
Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region ASP Nelson Tumushime said bar and Bibanda owners in Kasese have been guided on safety measures, including; installing firefighting devices, creating awareness and vigilance among football fans, and hand washing equipment against disease and insecurity.
