SP Solomon Mugisa, the Community Liaison Officer for Rwenzori East region, has urged the public to embrace mediation as a peaceful means of resolving conflicts.

He described mediation as an effective way to address issues without creating friction among community members.

While addressing residents of Kirembe Cell in Kasese Municipality yesterday, SP Mugisa appealed to political and religious leaders to adopt mediation in resolving land conflicts in Kasese District.

Earlier, SP Solomon encouraged land petitioners to be honest in their claims if they want justice to prevail.
He also emphasized the importance of investing in children’s education for a brighter future.
However, he also requested the establishment of a police post in Kirembe to strengthen security in the area. Mr. Laurence speaking:
Mr. Laurence Bwambale, the area LC1 Chairperson, commended police for their ongoing community policing efforts.
Meanwhile, Mr. Johnson Bwambale, the residents’ representative, and Mr. Enock Muhasa, representing the Western Union Cooperative Board, expressed their readiness to support mediation efforts.
They believe it will restore order and peace in the community.
