Police said this morning that security forces were in pursuit of suspected Allied Democratic Forces-ADF rebels after they shot and killed two foreign tourists and a Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese District.
According to Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the victim’s tour vehicle was burnt to ashes by the assailants.
The three, a British National, a South African Citizen and their Ugandan Guide are said to have been attacked at Nyamunuka along Katwe Road in Katwe-Kabatoro town council, Kasese District, according to Uganda Wildlife Authority spokesperson, Bashir Hangi.
The yesterday attack comes after President Museveni has said on Sunday that security forces had foiled a bomb attack on churches by ADF rebel group. END.
