    Plastics items worth 30 millions donated to flood victims in Karusandara.

    Save the children international- Kasese branch has today donated plastic items worth thirty million shillings to flood victims in the sub-Counties of Karusandara and Maliba in Kasese district.

    According to the Regional Manager Save the children international, Mr. Samwel Mukirane, the items including jerrycans, cups and basins and buckets, among others were delivered to the most affected people staying in areas of Kabaka, Kabuga, Kanamba, Kivengenyi and Ngaiga who are in camps.     Flagging over the items at the district headquarters in Rukoki, the Chairperson District Disaster Management Committee, Mr. Aggrey Muramira hailed save the children most heartedly for the donation which he said is going to improve the lives of the people.

    Mr. Aggrey used the same platform, asking for equitable distribution of   items to flood victims, before requesting for more to benefit other affected sub-counties.

    The Mothers union of South Rwenzori Diocese had also donated clothing’s and shoes to flood victims in the district, according to the union’s treasurer, Ms. Salome Sausi Kule.
