An emergency meeting that was planned by Mayor Kasese Municipal Mayor, Chance Kahindo to look into the plights of the flood victims internally encamped in Muhokya town council has flopped over lack of quorum, Kasese guide radio has learnt.
The emergence meeting follows a revelation by the encamped internally displaced people in Muhokya that the Kasese Municipal Mayor, Chance Kahindo, his MP Kambale Ferigo and the Kasese district chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi had never been in the camp physically to associate with their challenges.
His Worship Chance said the meeting could not sit before understanding the current stand over the matter by the Kasese district disaster committee and failure to realize the quorum now that other stakeholders, including the area MP Hon. Ferigo Kambale were busy on equally other important duties.
He said they were to meet the Kasese district Chief Administrative officer today for a way forward over the matter.

Earlier yesterday(26th.April.2022), the Kanyangeya main cell local council one chairperson, Mr. Deo Isemamba said he wasn’t satisfied with the Kasese Municipal and district leaderships whom he says have failed to back up the efforts by the local community in opening the river Nyamwamba valley as better plans are being thought of by the central government.
