Hon. Ronald Ndyakurungi, the Kasese district councilor representing Kyalhumba town council has described as shocking to see the common food crops that were produced in the mountainous fertile areas in Kasese but are instead ferried from other places to the mountainous communities.
He was concerned that the communities in the mountains were currently buying steeple food from other districts as a result of the scarcity.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday, Mr, Ndyakurungi who partly blames the situation to poor farming methods and laziness, said the town council was pondering on proper approaches on how to deal with some drunken men spending most of their time in bars than working.
He said the same men leave the donkey work to their wives he said were only as helpers to their families as they spend time gossiping and abusing alcohol. Hon. Ndyakurungi speaking……
Hon. Ndyakurungi also asked women to be accommodative to their husbands, some of whom have been addicted to alcohol as the last option caused by the poor conduct by their wives. END.
