    People with illegal guns in Nyakiyumbu S/C to be arrested.

    The Nyakiyumbu subcounty local council three chairperson, Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule has re-affirmed commitment by his office and the security details in the area to arrest those with illegal guns which he said were putting the lives of the local community at stake.

    Speaking to Kasese Guide radio yesterday, Mr. Kakule who confirmed that two guns had already been recovered after an alleged robbery that claimed the life of a crime preventer in the area said that security was strategically using her clues to zero on illegal Gun suspected to be ferried for robberies or poaching in the area.

    Mr. Kakule who called for hard work among members of the local population called for collaborated efforts aimed at providing vital information against illegal guns, most of which were targeting wildlife and developers. Mr. Kakule speaking 1 ….

    The chairman later gave options for the suspects strategically placing the guns to either the homes of local leaders, Church, schools, or be arrested by the security he said he had well collaborated with for the safety of his electorates. Mr. Kakule speaking2……

    Earlier last week, Mr. Joshua, the Kasese Deputy RDC said that all is being done by both the uniformed and plain clothed security officers to engage those with illegal guns. END
