    People in disaster prone areas ordered to vacate to safer places

    Meanwhile, People staying in disaster prone areas have been asked to vacate to safer places as the wet season continues, the Kasese municipality central division chairperson, Mr. Safari Martin has said.

    In a brief interview with our reporter this afternoon at his office, Mr. Safari said some residents have encroached and built their permanent houses in valley areas something that may result into problems.

    He used the same platform to ask municipal residents to make use of planners for advices concerning safe construction places.

    Hon. Siriwayo John, the Kasese Municipal Secretary for Works and Technical services encourage people staying hilly areas to have water harvesting tanks which will help to control running water.
