About two hundred seventy people in Kinyamaseke town council in Kasese district have received funds under Parish Development Model initiative with a call on the beneficiaries to stick to their original plans.
Presiding over the official launch at Kinyamaseke town council offices yesterday, Col. Cyril Mawa Muhindo, the newly appointed Uganda Defence attaché in the DR Congo reminded the beneficiaries about the aim of the revolving fund he said wasn’t for festivities but investment for improved household incomes.
Relating PDM fund disbursement to a pregnant mother whose excitement is derived from a successful delivery, Col. Mawa called for hard work that will translate into multiplied funds for improved living conditions of the beneficiaries. Col. Mawa speaking…….
The area Assistant town clerk, Mr. Julius Bwambale said in addition to the seventy beneficiaries earlier, about two hundred seventy people from the areas of Rwangajo, Kinyamaseke North and Mairu-ikumi received more than 260 million shillings under the same program to minimize poverty levels. Among the beneficiaries were Mrs. Nyamusana Restetuta and Mrs. Uziyeri Muhindo who appreciated the government of Uganda for this milestone.
The Kasese district woman councilor for Nyakatonzi sub county and Kinyamaseke town council, Hon Betty Karoko said the money should not be a source of confusion to families. END
