Mr. James Katalikawa, the chairperson local council three for Bugoye sub-county in Kasese district has warned those misusing Parish Development Model-PDM program funds to stop the practice or risk arrest.
He says misappropriating the funds is likely to affect the success of the program intended to drive households out of poverty.
In an interview with Kasese Guide Radio this afternoon, Katalikawa urged the beneficiaries to focus on development as PDM has been brought to rescue people from poverty. Mr. Katalikawa one speaking..
He added that the leaders must play a great role in monitoring and supervision to ensure that Parish Development model benefits the local person who is targeted by government.
Mr. Uriah Bwambale, the chairperson Kabuyiri PDM model in Kabuyiri Parish in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council, denied allegations that the recently released funds only benefited NRM supporters, reporting that at least 75% opposition Sacco members had received the funds last year.
