Patients with Referral Notes from Village health team members (VHTs) should first be given Priority at health centers, the acting Kasese district Health Officer, Mr. Bagonza Stephen has announced.
In his address during the ongoing training of VHTs from Kasese Municipality at Kasese Health Centre three in Kasese town, Mr. Bagonza who described VHTs as health workers at village level said they are supposed to write referral Notes to the patients in order to get attended to swiftly. The Trainer for the VHTs, Ms Moreen Biira said VHTs are being trained to treat three diseases in Children, Malaria, Diarrhoea and Cough.
