The police in Kagadi have arrested Christopher Tinkamanyire, the Parish Chief for Pacwa in Pacwa sub-county for allegedly stealing One Million Shillings meant for a PDM beneficiary.

It is alleged that Tinkamanyire and Simon Agaba, the Pacwa-Nyamigisa Parish Development Model SACCO Chairperson who is currently on the run, connived and withdrew the money from the bank account belonging to Evelyne Mbabazi 53, a member of the Saaco that the two kept feeding on lies until she was suspicious and reported the matter to Kagadi police that investigated.

SP Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson explains that they arrested Tinkamanyire yesterday and later admitted to having connived with Agaba to withdraw the money from the account and did not deliver it to the owner. SP Hakiza speaking…….

He called for transparency by Sacco leaders to minimize conflicting with the law. END
