Mr. Pimako Kasereka, the chairperson Local Council three for Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality calls for the arrest of parents and guardians who decline to have their school going children in schools.
He said about a half of children in his division had not reported for classes since the term opened and despite the UPE and USE programs, a situation he described as a security risk.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday, Mr. Pimako who announced arrests from Monday next week, said he was not to sympathize with some parents and guardians who had previously committed themselves but have since kept their children involved in domestic work than having them in class for a better future.
