Failure to provide for scholastic needs has turned many school going children into boda-boda riders and house maids, Kasese guide radio has learnt.
Mts. Kruthum Mosh, the Kasese district senior education officer said that their mini-survey has indicated that some learners had been betrayed by un supportive parents who want them in school but not willing to provide for the scholastic needs.
She told Kasese guide radio this week that some learners were currently local transporters, brick makers and house maids, the decisions that were good but a danger to the a young generation that could have been a bigger resource in future. Ms Kruthmuspeaking1………
Ms Kruthum hailed the teachers, parents, local leaders, the Church and the community for the recent go back to school campaign that saw many learners in school though later frustrated later. END.
