The former Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Spokesperson, Hon. John Thawithe has called on parents to occupy the evenings with storytelling sessions without which their children will be diverted.
He said most children have been diverted and their consciousness slowly but steadily being eaten up by artificial intelligence just because of idleness as a result of absentee parents who have not known the use of folklore as promoted in the past.
Addressing a community dialogue organized by Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu at Kabatunda Child Development Center offices in Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council in Kasese district over the weekend, Hon. Thawithe called on the local leaders and parents to tale closed interest into the loose language promoted by some young people whom he blamed for attending funeral for selfish interests and not as serious mourners. Hon. Juliet Best Kambale, the Kingdom minister for Gender, Rehabilitation and Disabilities affairs expressed concern about indecent dressing among the young girls and old women who have no respect for their age and their bodies being the temple of Christ.
