    Parents urged to be closer to their children-ASP Ashaba

    Over one hundred people area said to be on remand in different detention centers over vanilla theft in Munkunyu sub-county in Kasese district.

    Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio at his office yesterday, ASP Bosco Ashaba, the OC for Munkunyu police station asked parents and Guardians to be close to their teen children who have been used in many scenes of crime, including vanilla theft that has forced many into detention since November last year.

    He also asked the local community members and farmers against deploying teens as garden guards and baby sitters who are sometimes tempted to act unlawfully. ASP Ashaba speaking1……..

    ASP Ashaba who later called for good parenting to fix the deteriorating morals among the young people, called for plans by the local leaders in Munkunyu subcounty to regulate bar establishments and operations to neutralize lawlessness in the area. ASP Ashaba speaking2……..

    He called for positive mindset change among the community members whom he advised to revise their life styles by saving for the future now that the cost of living was high. END
