Members of the Kesot’s Africa Gospel Church which Cheru’s family attends (Cheru wearing blue skirt and red shirt) and about 60 guests from Tipet sing, dance, jump pray and testify during a packed, 5-hour Sunday service. Before World Vision’s water project brought clean water close to their homes, families sometimes came to church late, dirty, and tired from carrying water, says Pastor Solomon Kapel, 25. Now they are pouring new energy and enthusiasm into their church. Solomon Kapel, 25, (gray suit jacket, tie and red shirt) has been pastor of Kesot’s Africa Gospel Church for seven years. “So many good things are happening here because of the water. I praise God for it,” he says. Yohana Komolile, 28, (in white shirt and red tie) is pastor of the Africa Gospel Church in Tipet, the church that founded the Kesot church. Pastor Yohana and about 60 members of the Tipet church walked 7 km to fellowship with the Kesot congregation and celebrate the new water system. Water is very scarce in Tipet, and many children and adults in the group had never seen water flowing from a tap. Cheru Community Water project, Sook ADP Kesot community West Pokot, Kenya

Parents should bring children close to the Church for Spiritual inspiration that would guide them to serve God, the Assistant Vocations` Director of the Diocese of Kasese, Rev Fr. Pascal Bwambale has said.

Presiding over second mass during yesterday`s Vocation Sunday at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral parish in Kasese, Rev Fr. Pascal asked parents to turn their children into homes guards on Sundays but rather bring them to Church for inspirations that could support God`s work in futures.

He recalls that he was inspired by the conduct and looks of the Priests at Nsenyi parish, a situation he said he kept praying and working about until he reached there.

Fr. Pascal who doubles at the Curate for the Kasese parish, asks married couples to interest those intending with the vocation of marriage by living by their marriage vows. Rev Fr. Pascal speaking2……

He calls for plans to ensure the safety and promotion of vocations. END.
