St. Theresa Girls’ secondary school-Bwanda in Kalungu District has launched her Centenary celebrations for Kasese with a call on focused parenting aimed at nurturing responsible children.
Addressing parents and the schools’ old students from Kasese at a mini-function held at Verina gardens in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Rev. Sr. Betty Namwazi, the school head teacher, hailed the Kasese people for the trust and support they have rendered to the school, asking parents to support the education of the girl child to build their families and the country. Mr. Moses Kabinga, the inspector of schools in charge of Bukonzo County East in Kasese district, congratulated the school whose leadership he asks to continue collaborating with parents and guardians against immorality and other diversionary acts among learners.

Rev. Fr. Modesto Kasenyangwe, the coordinator for Holy Dove projects in the Diocese of Kasese called for the need by the leaderships of the teaching institutions in Kasese district to collaborate with such schools to improve academic performances in their institutions.
According to school sources, October 4th 2025, has been scheduled for the main function at the school to celebrate the institution’s 100 years of existence. END
