There is reported panic among the local residents of the popular Temangalo in Kasese Municipality following a High Court judgment on a land matter in favor of Kilembe Mines Limited.
In 2013, Muheka Family Estates petitioned High court, accusing Kilembe Mines limited of trespassing on their land in Nyakabingo two Ward and Kilembe golf Course in Kasese Municipality.
In a September 2023 judgment in High Court at Fort-Portal, Justice Nabisinde ruled in favor of Kilembe Mines limited on grounds that it legally owns the pieces of land in question and that other than missing representation, the petitioner had failed to prove ownership.
