In a significant move to improve healthcare services in rural areas, AFRIDA, organized a one -day health camp in Buhuhira sub-county, Kasese district.
The camp held at Kithoma trading centre yesterday provided free medical services to over 900 residents of Busongora County North, addressing a pressing need for health care in the community.

He urged the public to avoid drug abuse, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for a prosperous future.
Dr. Kisuchi Milton, a surgeon at St.Pauls Hospital and AFRIDA health team leader, said the most patients attended to were having Hypertension, Diabetes, dental and eye problems then Malnutrition among children.

He encouraged residents to take charge of their health and seek medical attention whenever necessary. Despite the success of the health camp, residents expressed concern over the little time offered to them, appealing to AFRIDA to at least plan for a three days health camp. END.
