Over Seventy Kilograms of popular Sanga meat have been burnt in Kizungu cell market in Kasese Municipality during a police operation led by the Kasese district Veterinary officer, Dr. Yusufu Kibaya, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
In an interview with Kasese Guide Radio last evening, Dr. Kibaya confirmed the development, adding that their action was forced on realizing that the meat reportedly from Sanga was not suitable for human consumption.
He said under circumstances where some districts were under quarantine over anthrax, foot and mouth diseases, illegally ferrying un tested meat into Kasese was putting the district at risk. Dr. Kibaya speaking1……..
