About two thousand four hundred fifty and one thousand and fifty applicants in Kasese district were expected to be interviewed as enumerators and supervisors respectively for both village and parish levels for next Month’s national Census, Mr. Joseph Isingoma, the Kasese district senior planner has revealed.
Addressing the media at the Kasese multipurpose hall based in Kasese Municipality where the ongoing 2 days interviews took place, Mr. Isingoma who said the National Census exercise will commence on 10th May to 19th May, indicated that the district only requires 1500 enumerators with a minimum qualification of senior six or its equivalent to cover village and cells, as well as the 215 supervisors with a minimum qualification of a diploma to cover parishes.

Mr. Isingoma later downplayed social media reports that his office was charging one hundred thousand shillings for all intending recruits for the exercise, describing the promoters of the messages as fraudsters. END
