Over three hundred both head teachers and selected teachers in government and private schools from greater Busongora have trained ahead of school opening with a call on teachers to empress computer literacy to streamline their operations.

Speaking to Kasese guide radio in an interview shortly after the training, the commissioner Directorate of post primary education standards in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Balitazal Benson Kule emphasizes basic computer literacy for teachers now that most operations are turning computer.

He also warned parents against keeping their children in lower classes than their age, a decision he says may interfere with the psychology of the learners. Mr. Balitazari speaking…….

Ms Harriet Masika, the District Inspector of schools in charge of Bukonzo West constituency said giving health tips and reminders to the trainees and guiding them on how to deal with the learners at school are some of the reasons for the training at the Kasese Multi-purpose hall yesterday. According to Mr. David Kyirere, the head teacher for Kabatunda primary school, dealing with numerous entries at school, having teachers taking temperature records of learners than being in class and dealing with pupil turned business learners during the lockdown, are some of the challenges they will face as school heads as schools open next week.
