Nyakiyumbu Sub-County in Kasese district has approved over 192 million shillings budget for financial year 2022/23.
Priority in this budget has been put on administration, Road infrastructure, Health, Production, Education and Environmental conservation among others.
Presenting the Budget this morning during council session held at Sasik Gardens at Mubawa trading Centre in Nyakiyumbu Sub-County, the Secretary for Finance, Planning and Administration, who doubles as Sub-County Chairperson, Mr. Sunday Peter Kakule, revealed the source of funding as Central Government transfers, Local Revenue and grants.

Another critical issues in the Budget was to rehabilitate the community access roads, connecting Katoho-Kalongoire to Mundongo, Katholhu to Kayanzi and Musyenene to Muhindi and making boreholes among others.
He however said that for the success in the implementation of this budget, a combined effort of the political and technocrats is required.
