    Over 13(covid-19) patients decry delayed release of their results after recovery.

    Over 13 patients who were yesterday discharged from the Jinja Regional Referral isolation unit have raised concern over the delayed release of their results after recovery.

    Led by their zonal chairperson, Jimmy Okalo, the recovered patients said that although the first negative results were availed to them five days after the tests were conducted, the confirmatory test results were announced to them after a week.

    Mr. Okalo says that such delays had caused anxiety in their zone, forcing a section of the victims, being their family bread winners to plot an escape from the isolation centre though blocked by vigilant health workers. Mr. Jiimy Okalo speaking……

    The Ministry of Health however warned of tighter lockdown measures if the public continues to defy guidelines on social distancing and wearing of masks and hand washing.

    Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, the Health Minister said that she was not happy the public was relaxing at a time the virus could turn more deadly.

    Uganda stands at 686 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 161 recoveries and zero death, thanks be to God. END
