Over one hundred people at Kasenyi landing site in Lake Katwe Sub County in Kasese district are reportedly homeless after Lake George waters flooded their houses.
The few local residents interviewed said whereas the incident affects the whole landing site, Kasenyi upper, Mwaru, Kasenyi landing site and Kasenyi fish market were the mostly affected areas.
Ms Doreen Apio, a health inspector in Lake Katwe Sub County was concerned over the weakened and risky houses at the landing site, as well as the lodged waters she says could turn into disease breading areas.
