There has been divergent views from different political players in parts of Kasese district on whether Uganda’s 63rd Independence Day tomorrow is worth celebrating.
Mr. Vincent Mumbere 65 and Mr. Moses Bwambale 22, both local residents of Kyalhumba town council in Kasese district, gave views and interpretation of the celebrations that directly depicted their age.
Mr. Brian Basisa, the National Unity plat form chairman for Kasese district, NUP’s parliamentary flag bearer, Hon. Cleus Bwambale and Mr. Kato Zunguka for Central Division, alleged that the repeated political persecution, intimidations, industrial actions by civil servants over poor pay, the poor health care and the level of corruption, were indicators that celebrating Independence, wasn’t making any much meaning.
