At least one person has been shot dead as police crackdown on demonstrators in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.
Thousands have heeded the call for nationwide protests by opposition leader Raila Odinga, who claims that Kenya’s last election was stolen.
Mr. Odinga, who has run for president five times, also accuses the government of failing to help Kenyans tackle the “skyrocketing” cost of living, announcing that protests will take place every Monday until President William Ruto addresses the high cost of living which has brought economic hardship to millions of Kenyans.
Veteran leader is also pushing for what he calls “electoral justice”, which is a mixture of his disputed claim that he won the last election and a push to block the reconstitution of the team that runs Kenya’s election. Mr. Raila Odinga speaking……
