    One dies, six injuried after involving in a Baby Coach bus accident

    One person has died and six others sustained injuries in an accident involving a Baby Coach bus and Boda boda in Kachamba trading center along the Fort Portal- Kasese road. 

    The accident occurred when the Baby coach bus registration number UAU 503L veered off the road and knocked dead Amayire Asiimwe, a Boda boda rider in Kachamba trading center this morning.  

    According to eyewitnesses, the bus that was coming from Kasese veered off the road when the driver tried to avoid a Boda boda rider who was crossing the road. Eyewitnesses on accidents…..    

    The injured were rushed to Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital for treatment and the deceased body was taken to the mortuary for a postmortem.

    In May, over 20 people died after a bus belonging to Link Bus Company got into an accident along the Fort Portal Kampala Road. A traffic report released in July indicates that 435 people had been killed in just five weeks in various road crashes across the country. END.
