The Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, has postponed the 59th coronation anniversary, to travel abroad for specialized treatment.
The Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Benson Kule Baritazale, announced the postponement yesterday during a press briefing held at Verina Gardens in Kasese Town.
He urged the Kingdom’s subjects to receive the news with the seriousness it deserves.
The coronation anniversary commemorates the day King Mumbere ascended to the throne following the death of his father, the first King, Isaya Mukirania Kibanzanga, in 1966.
According to Rt. Hon. Baritazale, this year’s anniversary, originally scheduled for October 19th, has been postponed. However, the King’s birthday celebrations are still set to be held on November 14th.
