Today is the bail application hearing by the International Crimes Division of the High Court for the Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere and his 49 co-accused suspects at Jinja High court.
The suspects comprising 44 men and five women face 41 charges including murder, terrorism, treason, malicious damage to property, attempted murder, and aggravated robbery among others allegedly committed in 2016 following the raid at the Rwenzuru Kingdom palace in Kasese District by security.
Justice Komuhangi had earlier reconvened Court and adjourned the hearing of the bail application to November 22 after the earlier zoom proceedings were disrupted by network.
Mr. Edmond Mawazo of Rugendabara, Ms Esther Kabugho of Kidodo and Mzee Petero Thembo like many others pray that the King and his co-accused suspects get freedom.
The Kasese Municipal Central Division FDC chairperson Mr. Jafal Kigutiha reechoed the Banya-Rwenzururu prayer that the Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma earns freedom that would enable him freely return to his Kingdom.
Mr. Kigutiha also warned those he called selfish politicians taking advantage of the current dialogue between government and the Kingdom for the freedom of the King to fulfill their interests. Mr. Kiguniha speaking……
