His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, the King of Rwenzururu, has broken his silence regarding the plight of over one thousand people currently encamped at the office of the Resident District Commissioner in Kasese District.

He has called upon civil society organizations and other relevant stakeholders to take keen interest in the situation and work towards a lasting solution.
In an address to the media at the Buhikira Royal Palace in Kamaiba Cell, Kasese Municipality, the King expressed deep disappointment at the suffering of his subjects, many of whom are living under trees in dire conditions. His Majesty one speaking….
The King also voiced serious concern over the negative consequences the displacement is having on education and social values within the affected communities.
Additionally, King Mumbere urged politicians to handle the matter with integrity and objectivity, cautioning against the politicization of the crisis affecting cultivators and displaced individuals.
