The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) cultural leader, Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere, has hailed security agencies and the voters in Rwenzori region and the entire country for their peaceful conduct during the just-concluded presidential and parliamentary elections.

In a circular that Kasese Guide Radio has obtained a copy Omusinga Mumbere commended the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) also the head of security in the district, Lt Joe Walusimbi, for managing the security well.
His Majesty Charles Wisely also reported that the January 14th 2021 elections in the district were peaceful unlike in 2016 where a pupil was shot dead and several people were injured in the district.
Omusinga Mumbere later urged his subjects to guard against conduct that can disrupt the improving relationship between the Kingdom and Central Government. Mumbere who reminded his subjects that he and central government were engaged in dialogue to restore their relationship which was disrupted by the regrettable clashes of November 2016 later urged the political losers and winners to unite for the good of the district.
