    Omusinga announces five principles of reconciliation

    The Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has announced his Kingdom’s commitment to operate mainly under five principles of Reconciliation, Peace, Unity and mind-set change among others to facilitate the new approaches to rebranding the cultural institution.

    Addressing thousands of his subjects at Kilembe Mines Golf Course Club in Kasese during his 57th Coronation anniversary yesterday, His Majesty Charles Mumbere said he was to spearhead the rebranding efforts aimed at social economic development that requires collective efforts by all his subjects, kingdom sympathizers, supporters, government and her development partners.     Representing President Museveni, the Chief Guest, H.E retired Maj. Jessica Rose Epel Alupo asked the kingdom to prioritize common interests of the people for development than opportunistic identity that categorizes society only into their tribes and religions among other discriminative tendencies.

    The gender and culture minister, Hon. Peace Mutuuzo pledged to closely work with the Nyabaghole to minimize cases of early marriages and pregnancies that have frustrated efforts by government and her development partners for an educated and exposed Rwenzori community.

    Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the State Minister for National guidance asked Vice president to intervene into the possibilities of compensation to the group of women whose business package of onions was torched in a boxboard truck by suspected ADF remnants hardly two weeks ago in Katholhu area along the Bwera-Kikorongo highway in Kasese district. Hon. Kabyanga speaking….

    In his report to the vice President, the Kasese district local council five chairperson, Mr. Eriphaz Muhindi called for plans by Government to integrate rehabilitation programs into the intended support to the former Kingdom subjects who were freed from detention after more than six years.
