The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has confirmed the demise of yet another former Royal Guard, Richard Masereka Syamutsangira, which occurred yesterday evening, Jinja Regional Referral Hospital, where he was hospitalized.
However, according to the Prison Administration, the post-mortem cannot be done until early Monday, July 4th, 2022 after which the body will be handed to Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu.
According to a press release signed by the Kingdom Spokesperson and Public relations officer, John B Thawithe, they are working with Kampala-based teams, which include our Honorable Members of Parliament, to have the body delivered thereafter to the home of the deceased in Nyakakyindo village, Maliba Town Council in Kasese District.
Richard Masereka Syamutsangira was among the Rwenzururu subjects arrested alongside the Omusinga during the joint security raid on the king’s palace in November 2016.
