Ms Justine Muhindo Mutabazi, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner for Kasese district has warned the Rwenzururu Kingdom subjects against promoting what she called inhuman cultural norms that put their humanity to test.
Addressing the Kingdom Cabinet ministers during a meeting at the Kasese Youth Center in in Kasese Municipality to review the recent King’s pronouncements, Ms Justine who was responding to some cabinet ministers’ concerns social media, asked the kingdom to empower their structures for purposes of sensitizing the community against poor use of technology as well immorality that have culminated into attacks on morals, including teen sex and marriages that were badly hitting family life. Juliet Best Kambale Bakoko, the Kingdom minister for Gender, Rehabilitation and People with Disabilities, called for collaborated efforts against domestic violence, before describing incest as an abomination that requires the interventions of the faith based and political leaders to neutralize. Ms Queen-Gondar Tugume Asiimwe, the Kasese District Senior Community Development Officer, asked married couples to associate with the causes of their internal conflicts for solutions without which, their families will not have peace and proper guidance to their children.
