The Rwenzururu Kingdom and Kasese tourism investors’ forum has today signed a memorandum of understanding to promote tourism in Rwenzori region.
Prime Minister Rt.Hon. Joeseph Kule Muranga signed on behalf of the Kingdom, while Baguma John Henry signed on behalf of Kasese tourism investor’s forum at the Prime Minister’s office in Kasese town.

Rt. Hon. Muranga said the kingdom will help to spread the word about turning tourism into business and creating technology and innovations that may attract tourists in Kasese district.
He said the alliance comes at a time when the kingdom is rebranding her programs and it’s an advantage that tourism is among the pillars.

Mr. Baguma John Henry, the general secretary Kasese Investors forum, urged the local community to tap business opportunities by making roadside crafts, refurbishing hotels and lodges among others.

According to him, this is part of the activities ahead of the Tusker lite Rwenzori Marathon that is expected to host over 4,000 people in Kasese district in August next month. OBR cabinet Ministers and Kasese tourism Investors forum Executive witnessed the signing of the MOU. END.
