Rt. Hon. Joseph Kule Muranga, the Rwenzururu Kingdom Premier has urged learners to back the Kingdom plans for rebranding that will turn the cultural institution into a viable platform for reconciliation, peaceful living, unity and economic transformation.
Addressing primary and secondary learners during their debate and essay competitions held at Kamaiba youth Centre in Kasese municipality yesterday, Hon Muranga who called for vigilance and security consciousness among the kingdom subjects, asked learners to associate with the kingdom ideology, promote education and desist from acts that put their humanity to doubt. Mr. Brian Guma, the debate and essay chief judge, announced Bwera secondary school the best, followed by Kasese secondary school under post primary schools, as Crimuzon primary and Nadir preparatory school excel in the first and second positions respectively.

Earlier, the Kingdom education minister, Hon. Joshua Baluku revealed that his ministry come the 59th anniversary next year, would involve all schools to celebrate the, ‘Kalamu day’, in commemoration of the first Rwenzururu King, Isaya Mukirania’s pronouncement to use the pen for solutions than machetes. Reports later indicted that the awards for the best performers would officially be handed over by the King during the Coronation anniversary. END.
