The leadership of the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu and the Kasese woman MP, Hon Florence Kabugho, have harmonized their positions regarding the proposed erection of the monument of the fallen first Rwenzururu leader, Omusinga Isaya Mukirania.
This was at a meeting initiated and convened by the OBR Prime Minister, Rt Hon Joseph Kule Muranga held at Rwenzori International University yesterday(04th.June.2022).
Speaking after the meeting, the Rt Hon Muranga said the purpose of the meeting was to share the full idea with the OBR leadership.

Hon Kabugho Florence hailed the meeting and agreed to work under the guidance of the Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu structures regarding matters related to the cultural institution.

The joint meeting tasked the Prime Minister and his team to work out the possibility of erecting the monument at the Kasese main roundabout, Rwenzori Square or at the district headquarters.
Omusinga Isaya Mukirania, who passed on in 1966, was the leader of the Rwenzururu struggle that liberated the Bakonzo, Bamba and a couple of other minority tribes from the former British-backed Tooro kingdom. END.
