The Rwenzururu Kingdom has dismissed the authenticity of the running kits currently circulating on various social media platforms, stating that they are not official.
According to the cultural institution, the kits in circulation are not from the organizers of the Omusinga’s Birthday Run, which is scheduled to take place on November 14 this year.
The primary aim of the Birthday Run is to fundraise for the establishment of a new radio station, tentatively named “Omulenge We Kithwa.”
The Minister of Information, Mobilization, and Kingdom Spokesperson for Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Hon. Geoffrey Kanyonyi, yesterday clarified that the official kits have not yet been released for public purchase.
The Minister noted that they are aware of the graphics and content being shared online to represent the Birthday Run kits, but emphasized that these versions are unauthorized and not genuine.
