Only about 183 million of the targeted nine billion shillings was collected for the Rwenzururu King home coming project, the Central Executive Committee has revealed.
Only ten million shillings is still on the project bank account for the procurement of the four billion shillings worthy hotel owned by the UPDF fearless soldier, the late Gen. James Kazini.
The project included the home coming of the King on October 4th, the Coronation anniversary on October 19th and then, the purchase of Springs International hotel based in Kasese Municipality.
Addressing the media at Rwenzori International University based in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Mzee Costa Bwambale, the central committee treasurer indicated that over 35 million shillings was spent during the Omusinga home coming function, 67 million on the coronation anniversary, and 14 million shillings on mobilization strategies.
