Nyamwamba Division Council in Kasese Municipality has presented budget estimates totaling over one billion shillings for the financial year 2026/2027, reflecting a 5% increase compared to the 2024/2025 budgetof eight hundred million shillings.
Presenting the budget today at Half London Gardens in Kisanga Ward, the Division Treasurer, Mr. Simon Kule, said that roads, drainage maintenance, administration, and the construction of market roof shadeswill take the lion’s share of the allocation.
Mr. Kule highlighted the main sources of funding as local revenue, government grants, and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) funds.
