Local authorities of Nyakiyumbu sub-county in Kasese district have launched what they call a boost campaign against local community members without pit-latrines in a bid to address the low latrine converge in the area.
Mr. Peter Kakule, the subcounty local council three chairperson told a subcounty council that the ongoing operation for increased pit latrine coverage was basically an attempt to curb likely water borne diseases that could be as a result of the low pit-latrine coverage.
Mr. Kakule who said over fifteen people were arrested over the same challenges last week. Asked the local leaders and community members to join the operation aimed at improving hygiene in the area.

He hailed the parliament of Uganda for rejecting homosexuality in the country, before threatening to arrest any individual or group of people promoting what he described as madness. Mr. Kakule speaking……
In their remarks, Hon. Jetress Ithungu and Hon. Amos Karabyo the district councilors representing Nyakiyumbu subcounty described as a necked lie media reports that they were part of anybody or group planning to censure Mr. Eriafz Muhindi, the Kasese district local council five chairperson. Ms. Jatress and Mr. Karabyo speaking……..
Earlier, Mr. Kakule had appealed to locals to own government programs for development. END
