A section of NRM party leaders from Nyakabingo sub-county, in Kasese district have highlighted a number of issues that need to be addressed by Central Government before 2026 General elections.
The party leaders presented their concerns last evening while addressing the Busongora County South Member of Parliament, Hon.Gideon Thembo Mujungu during an evaluation meeting that was held at St. John’s Nyakabingo Church of Uganda.
In their report, Mr. Jackson Mbabu, the Sub-county NRM Chairperson who appreciated the projects so far established by government in the area, indicated that the lower local government was still lacking an improved health centre, a government grant-aided secondary school, good roads and sub-county administration block among others.
He also stressed that most people in the area are unemployed, lack some scholarships, face a challenge of inadequate safe and clean drinking water and have no electricity, asking the legislator to advocate for them.

Mr. Asasio Bwambale Isekambere, the District Councilor representing Nyakabingo Sub-county, told the meeting that some of the projects are included in the two- year district development plan.

In his response, Hon. Mujungu said he was committed to lobby for the electorates in his tenure as their legislator, later asking NRM cadres to popularize government programs. Hon. Mujungu speaking….
