The Queen of Rwenzururu Kingdom, Her Royal Highness Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu Asiimawe, has today signed a partnership agreement with the Kyakere Carnival organizers -Tul Audio Company Limited, in a campaign against teenage pregnancies and child marriages in the Rwenzori sub-region.
Addressing the media shortly after signing the agreement, on behalf of the Nyabaghole Foundation in Muyenga Kampala, Her Royal Highness highlighted the need for various stakeholders to join the campaign, arguing that child marriages and teenage pregnancies in the Rwenzururu kingdom not only hinder girl child development but also threaten the future of communities, families and cultural heritage.
