The Rwenzururu Queen Mother, Her Royal Highness, Agnes Ithungu Asimawe has cautioned parents against feeding children on non-nutritious foods, saying the vice has accelerated malnutrition cases and obesity.
She said children who suffer from malnutrition have very low immunity, making them prone to treatable illnesses and stunting.

According to a report released by UNICEF last week at Rwenzori International Hotel to Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu cabinet Ministers and Privy Council, indicated Kasese among the leading districts in Uganda with stunting.
But Ithungu said this can be cheaply avoided by eating the right foods like, vegetables, fruits, grains and low fat foods.
